    Wind Power

Had to pull over on my way home to snap this one.

This one definitely an impression, and the softness creates a dreamy effect. I am not so sure about the foreground towers that run out of or nearly out of the frame, seems that it may be a different image if they were cropped out, leaving just the center turbines? Incredible colors.

    Re: Wind Power

Awesome silhouettes and great color. A bit soft and not up to the usually high standars of work that i have seen from you in the past. With that said, I take it this was a snap on the go with no tripod and such and considering that this is very good. Really a pretty good shot in any case.
i agree about the foreground wind turbine. The first one dominates the frame and shoots up and out of the frame. i think it is the only shortcoming to this image. If it could be removed or cropped away, it would help bring this up a notch.
nonetheless, nice work. I'd have pulled over too

I was thinking exactly what GB mentioned. Also some reduction of the color noise will improve the overall feeling I guess.

    The background gradient is pretty.

For me... I would try to get the turbine that is closest to me to shine and let the others flow out with what ever aperture you want but not let anything look messy.

Color is very good. Composition is nice. But for some reason there just isn't a focus. 80% of the way there. Maybe some fey dutch girl in the foreground. Or any girl.

...or maybe just an effeminate boy.

    Meh. Just trying to help.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Yes, gahspidy, I did not have a tripod with me.
I've cropped it a couple different ways, and tried to smooth out the grain. I think I like the second better, cutting out the first two turbines completely. I do have a couple verticals, too, I believe with the moon in them. Let me see if I can find those to post, too.

    Re: Wind Power

I like the 2nd crop best too. Removing the first two turbines helped alot. We lose the size and some perspective , but overall i think the comp and aesthetic are improved.
