Hey everybody. I just entered a some new contest and submitted my work. I'm not on my computer right now so I can't get the picture posted, but you can check it out on:

please tell me what you think about it. its the only submitted work. The contest is Your City and it was the only picture I had of New York saved. I will post the picture in the thread later when I get home.

    Thank You.

    Re: good morning!!

Welcome to the forum, Simon. The only real trouble i see with the pic as it is shown on the contest site is that it looks distorted or poorly resized for the web. It is hard to read the signs of Times Square. The edges seem to be jagged. Other than that, it looks ok and certainly sizes up NYC. Perhaps it is too typical a scene.
Looking forward to seeing more of your works.

    Re: good morning!!

Simon - Looks like you have a decent cross-section of urban life there. The Prague, Amsterdam, Yuri Merkulov, and Dmitri Ribak are my favorites. They are compositionally the best and have the best light (esp the Israeli shot). Sorry but I don't really like the way the tunnel frames the top of those two shots. The NYC shot is a but cluttered there.. too bad you didn't have a shot that was taken a little more head-on of the signs etc, cause they are interesting.

Anyway, good luck with your contest, and hope you post more shots later.
