    good castle attempt?
I took a trip out to a local castle wanting to catch a postcard style shot. The sky was very cloudy when i got there. I would like to go back and try this again this week with some new ideas and hopefully the sky will be more dramatic and my photos might turn out better.

I like the first shot alot! My family comes from ireland, but I've never been, so pictures from scotland and ireland and such are always fascinating to me.

One thing though... edit out the power/phone lines!!!

They both look good. Your timing with the light on the first shot was good - detail in the sky but still a dramatic night shot. Too bad about the utility lines - I wouldn't feel bad about cloning them out either.

The second one seems like it might be cropped just a little too tight, or at least framed up too high. A little more space at the bottom might help. Nice soft light here.

I think they are both very good, with my preference being the first one. The second could use a bit more space on the bottom, but it is still pleasing tolook at Seems a tad underexposed and just a slight boost in shadows and highlights might be the trick. Sky is good in my opinion. Also like the balloon floating above. Good stuff

I prefer the first as well. Beautiful lighting!
