I like the composition and light but personal taste doesn't like the color effect.

i like the composition, treatment, everything, except I can not figure out what the story is here, what the connection in the image is supposed to be... it seems like it needs a little narration behind it.

I agree with Brent. This photo feels like it definitely has a certain story behind it. Not one that is open to interpretation. Looking at this I really wanna know that story. Which is both good or bad depending on what the objective is. Technically, my eyes don't have a problem with it. I think it's a good portrait. It just leaves me with unanswered questions.
