    Framed & illuminated

This was from a mountain bike ride after work on Tuesday. The distant light on the peaks caught my eye a few moments earlier. When I came upon the boulders framing it I had to take a little break and shoot a little!

    Re: Framed & illuminated

I can see how it caught your eye.
This composition would work really well with better light...am or pm depending on sun direction.
I'd like more room at the top too.
    Good eye to see it.
    Keep Shooting!

    Re: Framed & illuminated

Good catch and good framing. The only thing I would do different is burn down the two main rocks and the bottom of the frame and have a little more room up top where the rock on the right is almost touching the frame.

    Good catch though. Beautiful scene.

    Re: Framed & illuminated

Thanks you guys. I can"t disagree on any of the criticisms. The framing was tough because I was balancing on another boulder in my cycling shoes to be able to get this composition. I only had a prime so even though it was tight there was no zooming out to be done. All that considered I was happy enough with the outcome.
I was also hoping for more light in the foreground but it wasn't happening so I shot with what I had and brought up the boulders a little in post.
