    Featherlamingo

    Caught this guy with a feather on his beak. Thought the picture came out pretty good as well. Fort Worth Zoo. Thoughts?

    The feather makes it!! It's sharp, good bokeh - a really nice capture which is just a little "different".

    Thanks for the comment. :-)

    I actually hadn't seen the term "Bokeh" before so I googled it. Pretty interesting! The background in this shot is just water which was obviously a bit dirty. The sunlight made some nice sparkles on it. I didn't actually do any post processing other than the resize at all.

    Taken with a Nikon D40 & THIS lens. I always shoot this lens with the hood on it. Don't know how much of a difference that makes. I'm still learning obviously.

    Good sharp shot. I like the bit of halow glow of background around the head.
    I usually shoot with my hood on. It makes me look professional.
