Re: Gab
I really like this GB. Though to nitpick on my monitor, it's slightly yellow. Also wish that half a circle thing in the background wasn't there. but great capture, lovely dress and model

Re: Gab
I love her face and the purple robe has such rich color, especially where the light isn't reflecting on the right. I don't know if that's a problem or not.

Re: Gab
Nice! Great color and tonal range, good pose. Not crazy about the background fan (or whatever it is) either, but certainly not a deal breaker.

Re: Gab
Thanks everyone. Jet I came in for this shot after the other photographers had already set up the fan. I think it's OK in theory, but not where it's at. There was nothing to hold it higher on the wall. She was a good model.
On another note, this shoot was so chaotic that the organizers took note and are making changes to the structure of the shoots, plus creating a few ground rules which are sorely missing at the time.
Frog, I don't quite see the reflection you're describing. Hmm.. I just see her :D
Liban - I do see a very slight yellowish tint but I would never have noticed. You have a good eye for color. I agree that given where the fan is, it would prob be a better photo w/o it.

Re: Gab
Excellent, but the skin is oversaturated.

Re: Gab
I'm not saying it is like a mirror reflection...just that the light bounces off the robe where it shines directly. Its no where near blown out or anything.
I do like it.

Re: Gab
Lovely kimono and model, while the fan does not add, IMHO it does not substract much.
As a kid I spent 6 years in Japan (Father was in the Army), this photo takes me back many many years. IMHO the model would be more in character if she had much lighter makeup on.

Yeah, I feel your pain! Biggest problem I've had on the group shoots was the new guys. Seems the first "accessory" they always buy is a pocket wizard. Then they proceed to stand in the back and "pirate" the light from the guy shooting - not only frustrating as hell when you find out your perfect shot came out as a black screen, but it's really hard on the lights and packs too (which really pisses you off when you provided the lights). Ground rules are a seriously good thing.

Re: Gab
Ha! nice shot GB...really like the concept of makeup outfit, etc....I have to say that with a plain background this will look much better...maybe some PP?
As dray said the skin is a tad over saturated but I think goes well with the concept.
