    Fun with Fireballs
Just like clouds, flames often yield some surprising forms when photographed. Here are a few I am considering for my project. Am I just seeing things? You tell me.

Your choice of course but I prefer the photos that have details in the flames over the ones where the fireball is just a blob of white.

Your third image of the person blowing flame would be the perfect place to use a 3 stop split neutral density filter. Hard to be prepared for everything but if you get another chance.......

You playing with fire again CL? :D

They're decent but could use better with more surrounding subject matter (fire is neat, but by itself it is only Ok). I do see some shapes there, sort of like looking at clouds... a lion's head on the top one, a heart in # 3, a baton thrower or something in # 2, and nothing in # 4 :)

#1 and #4 are good, with #1 being my personal all for strongest of the bunch. there is alot of definition in the flames, great color and no distractions outside the subject. the shape does resemble a lions head or something like that. Definetly intriguing.

I see a pouncing cat, a fire dancer, a Valentine from Flame Thrower guy and the front part of a horse, look for the eye and the rest kind of reveals itself.

Wow! Now there's a thought. I can see how one could have come in handy. That's the thing about flame throwers really, there's a massive "Poof" of a fireball, then nothing but after image on the back of your eyelids. Depending on the size of your "Poof" it's really hard to guesstimate the exposure. It uses a lot of fuel so they don't use them as often but the next time they do. . .

    I never stopped GB. :cornut:

The cat is my favorite of the four but I'm sorting so I figured I'd throw the similar shots out there with it and see if I'd missed something. The #2 image was used as the cover/label for the submission DVD that this group created to be considered for participation at Burning Man 2 years ago. They went and lit it up real good. :)

Your other fire shots were pretty cool, just looked at them. Here I like 1 and 4 the most but especially 4. Maybe the simplicity and hint of the ground?
