    The Bell Tower

Self Critique: I mucked around with the perspective a lot. It was taken with the Sigma 10-20mm.

Let me know what you thnk.

    Cheers,

    Re: The Bell Tower

I'm so amazed by all these beautiful places to photograph.

I really like the colors as you captured them, especially the blues/greens of the "steeple."

Though I do like the way you used the walls of the pool to lead the eye into your subject, what if you moved to the left enough to change your angle so to allow for some separation between your subject and the rear building? That would also allow you to keep the fountain, which I like, but is now a distraction to me. I also think the bright lighting on the tree competes with your focal point.

    Just my rookie two cents.

Very nice really like the lighting and comp. Just goes to show the rule of thirds doesn't always apply. Would like to see this comp with a tilt shift lens.

Must have been a tough shot, I would not have tried to center the shot but use the fountains maybe to lead to the corner and then the building. Impressive structure. If this is the evening I'd probably have waited a bit to see if I could get more color out of the sky. Cheers S.

Thanks for all your comments! They are all valid points and something to keep in my mind for a re-shoot
