Re: Fox Hunting
A nice image, you must have worked hard to get that.
Good light, was it evenning or morning?
It's a shame the fox was moving so fast it's blurred.
The focus looks good, you can see the sharpness in the reflection of the right front paw on the rail.
Also that narrow depth of field is made really obvious by the blurring of the ballast and the ties.
I find the right foreground out of focus pile of ballast distracting, but it's not in a position where it can be cropped. I'd like to see the hind feet too, but you can't have everything, wildlife doesn't pose!

Re: Fox Hunting
"WOW" was my first thought!
Never seen one quite like this!
I'll agree with Paul, it's a shame he's a touch blurred. And your lighting is excellent. And it does look like you spent a lot of time setting it up :) Your DOF is excellent.
I didn't spend too much time on your webpage but the ones on your home page look great! We love good wildlife photos up here in critique or in Viewfinder so please feel welcome to post some more.
Welcome to the site, and welcoming your shots to the web!

Re: Fox Hunting
Awesome photo. The blur and the softness do not give me a problem at all. It just adds to the dynamics of the image. You must have been the luckiest person alive when you pressed the shutter!
Great job.
