    Nice job on the focus and stopping the action. I would crop off the sides and just have the rider in the shot.

    Hi Kyle,

    Nice action capture -- focus and colors came out well.

    However, for action shots such as surfing big wages, climbing, biking, etc., I really like to see an attempt at a level horizontal (some times it's hard to present this). When I see things tilted, I think that the photographer is trying to pull a quick one and make the stunt look even more tweaked. For me, it keeps me from studying just how awesome the particular image is.

    I'm guessing you tilted this submission for artistic reasons (because it is very obvious). As someone who finds himself trying these things (...well, I'm no-way extreme, but I did crashed my mountain bike at a race yesterday), I like this shot. But, I just want to let you know what kept me from really studying it.

    That is some good thoughts it makes me think more about sports shots now and how you look at them as a photographer and as a viewer.Looks like some experimentation is in order - now i just have to find some sports to shoot hehe.
