I took a few different shots

My favorite one with the moon at the top, I just wish I didn't have those power lines in the shot.

Splats - Decent subject, but the images are more snapshots than art. They're tilted quite a bit, awkwardly composed (out of the frame), etc. You might also have gotten in closer and tried a few icicle shots against the blue background sky - try it if you can, usually comes out nice.

I know , I just couldn't get a good angle ,the problems were the backgrounds were Really bad , and the ones that weren't I couldn't get far enough back. I did try a fish eye but it looks horrid.

Art or not, I love how it looks with the frozen water falling. I certainly hope it didn't burts the pipes. Also, rather clever to pin the moon right on top, didn't even notice until I read that you had.

Take the power lines out in photoshop, it will look great. I have a sunrise photo where there are power lines and some graffti on a wall, alittle photoshop, good to go.

Hey F-15, I actually took an entire class at UMD on that question titled Philosophy of Art. What a hard question to answer - whew - and a hard class... and walking into it I thought it would be easy.

    From an online dictionary though:

    1. the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
    2. the class of objects subject to aesthetic criteria; works of art collectively, as paintings, sculptures, or drawings: a museum of art; an art collection.
