    flying high

Well, I have devoted much of my shooting to my 3 boys sports. Heres my 13 yr old middle son. Nikon d80 nikon 80-200 1/2.8. These gyms can be very difficult with lighting!!!!! Using the sb 400 to help stop action but limits speed to 200. ISO 400-640. Oh, thats the little boy in my avatar :]

Not bad shots there. I like #1 but I would crop in as much as possible to just get him and #8.

You really have to use as fast a camera setting as you can get away with when shooting sports. It's always shocking to me how my first guess is way too slow! If you get serious about shooting indoor sports, you may even have to get a special DSLR designed for very fast ISOs. Nikon sells a couple, or did sell a couple, that had ISOs in the tens of thousands -- the tradeoff was lower resolution. I think they were a tad more expensive too. Anyway, a path to consider..

Nice shots - I like the impact of movement in the photos. But the colours of the trainers - Yuk :-)
