Interesting shot. for me the colour balance looks to be off. a bit muddyish, brownish. I like the dof though and the various focal points. I think cropping off the bulge on the left might make it better.

Muddyish, that's it. Which explains the understated comment as well. I've got something to work with. Thanks guys.
