Fluid Dynamic in Shag

My floors are covered with the same shag carpet that came with the house in 1966. I'm not proud of that fact, but the patterns in the fiber are continuously interesting, like fire or ocean.

The design is interesting [of the carpet that is], But in terms of photographic sense, just does not do it for me. Maybe if there was an object to in the foreground to breakup the image a little?

Just an idea, but out of all the photograph's, I like the 3rd.
