    Flower high key bokeh
    http://gallery.photographyreview.com...SC9252_800.jpg

    Shot details:
    Handheld 1/320 f5.6
Auto ISO (1100), matrix metering , the background was blown a bit
Auto dynamic lightning off (love the absence of noise)
    150mm sigma f 2.8 macro lens - the sharpest lens I have

    What do you think ?

Thanks for looking and commenting

Flowers look good here in the frozen north!

My eye goes right up the branch to the brighter of the two flowers - the OOF one on the right. Maybe a square crop removing the one on the right???

Vey nice crisp and sharp. I agree that a crop might be in order.

I like the dynamics of the image--the way the dark unfocussed background tails off from the flower. Very artistic.

Very good dof. I think the right side is probably not necessary. I crop it in my browser and the flower alone is enough to keep this without all the right side. very nice colours

I agree on the crop suggestion. The blown bg is nearly blinding, but the flower is exceptional. If your crop removes enough of the bg, I think the subject will better stand out. Nice focus on this!

Wonderful definition and gorgeous shot! Flowers are always so photogenic. There's zero noise in this! Pristine.

    Thanks Bryan and ScapeGrace

I tried a few crops and was not convinced , so i'm not posting a new version at this time

A crop would not remove the blow background as it is right next to the flower, may try to lower the brightnes on that area

    hmm ....

OK shot, good composition and flower color, but I am not sure that the flower's color mixes well with the earth tones and the green. It has decent 'bokeh' (blur), but still think that the background interferes a bit. Maybe a little more DOF on the flower. And where's a bee when you need one? :)
