Flower Bee

This is the second picture I took with my camera. Thoughts?

Well, everything is good, but there is nothing that would impress me. Keep on working and try to get more interesting angle and a bit sharper focus.

This shot has a lot of potential. To compensate for the flat lighting, a curves adjustment can heighten the contrast and bring out the complimentary purple and yellow a bit more. Having the subject centered is not usually the most pleasing composition and removing some from the left and the top would fix that as well as remove the uneeded and distracting background in the upper right.
