The Flow
Eldorado Springs. The snow still hasn't melted up there, I almost busted my ass trying to take a picture.
Again, critiques, edits welcome.

Re: The Flow
Although some of the stones in dark could benefit from better details, i think this is beautifully executed... the creamy water, and how it mixes with the snow make for a quite an interesting photograph...
No doubt you almost busted your ass :D
Nice job,

Re: The Flow
Though it does seem a little dark in the foreground and personaly I would give it a PS boost, the compostion and subject is wonderful and well worth the ass busting. Great picture.

Re: The Flow
Thanks guys, and I took you up on the brightening of the image, and here it is:

Re: The Flow
I prefer the first one as there is less blow out in the snow. Perhaps take the original and make a curves adjustment to the darks to bring in the detail without blowing out the whites?
I love the framing and the subject so this is definitely worth a little bit mroe work to get it perfect. Great shot.

Re: The Flow
Thankfully I still have the RAW.

Re: The Flow
I warmed it up a bit and upped the saturation with the RAW, and let's see what you guys think:

Re: The Flow
I only would of adjusted the curves, just to lighten up the dark areas a just tad, so you could see just a little more detail.

Re: The Flow
Thanks, I added a tiny bit of warmth too, and I like it more than the others.

Re: The Flow
I tried to HDR it and then tone map it, this is the result:

Re: The Flow
Well as you can see in the HDR, you are able to see more detail in the rocks, and it lost that sombre look... There is a lot of possibility in Post to fix things, and you will always need to do post work.... we just try to get the best we can with the camera, and then work things out!
Final result is pretty good!
I still need to learn a wee bit of HDR, but it just doesn't strike as too important at the moment!
