Floaties
Working on this ,suggestions to improve ?

Re: Floaties
I think this is a great, creative idea but I do have a problem with the composition.
I'd like to see more of the flowers in the frame and the lower right diagonal what ever it is distracts so much that I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what it is instead of admiring the photo.
Hope you keep working on this. I love the idea.

Re: Floaties
I agree with Frog to a point (the concrete edge doesn't really bother me). It feels like this shot needs to be up and to the right more, even if you have to push the "floatie" back into the frame with your finger  I'm not thrilled with the brown water either as it reflects a brown sky, perhaps shifting the hue or colorizing that area would produce a more visually pleasing result.

Re: Floaties
I luv the reflection and your idea.
The muddy brown water is a real distractor to me.

Re: Floaties
I actually like the brown water but I've been told that I'm weird.

Re: Floaties
Personally I find the flowers a bit strong on contrast and would like to see a little less of the body of your reflection (shifting right and up as already suggested) I agree that you would have to move the floating flower too, maybe in front of the reflection of the camera, or is that a bit lame ???

Re: Floaties
Now see, you don't need to know much about photography to create a strong image.
I like you fresh view of a still live, that all the elements are strong and the whole thing has a touch of whimsy because of your clear reflection.
Keep shooting.

Re: Floaties
Susann - Odd photo. Makes you ask what the heck is this, like a multi-media image. I think it works, but am not sure about the wall at the bottom right, which seems to inject hard reality into the image. I like I would like it better if it were just flower and reflection. Nice self portrait too.
