    B&W side

Not sure if I have posted this. Went through and looked and didn't see it.

I actually MADE him pose and I took a few different shots. This one was my favorite.

I need a new subject because he is getting really tired of having his picture taken. :blush2:

Yup, furrowed brow -- he wasn't happy. You captured a great expression, and though his head is cut off and almost his ear, I like your comp. I think it accentuates the intensity in his eyes that you "feel" more than see. My nitpick would be the background is a bit busy. While you did a great job with lighting on his face, I think I would have liked a more solid background color -- wait -- actually, I like the black behind his nose and the white behind his beard -- is that the inspiration for your title? What I don't like is the cluttery stuff in the black portion of the background and his moustache gets lost in the black bg. I'm really nitpicking here.

    Thanks

My backgrounds are always busy because I don't "set up shots" so to speak. He is sitting in MY comfy chair looking at his phone. The clutter is just that...clutter. lol hmm I should clean.

actually the inspiration for the title was..hmm...it's a side shot in B&W. Really, I didn't think too much about it. lol

Lol -- Now, what fun is that?? Buy a nice colored sheet and tada -- no cleaning! My dad's house is F-U-L-L. It's hard to find a spot to shoot and even harder to clean. Depression generation never threw away anything.

I like it. It feels like we know him from looking at the picture. If you could clean up the junky background that kinda looks like it is coming from his mouth, it would be a stronger picture.

Thanks. Unfortunately I would have to take the picture again. I didn't crop this one at all.

Thanks. I might see about cloning in some black or something this summer. It is going on my list of things to accomplish.
