    First timer...
    Evening all... first post here. I hope to gain a lot of tips from you pros. I'm having fun getting acquainted with the new A70. Your thoughts on this image?

    Welcome to the site .
    I am by no means a pro on this , but i will only give you my own opinion.

    First i think the photo could be little to flat .Maybe a shallower depth of field could be useful in this kind of photos.
    By making the background more blurry the flower could stand out a bit more.
    And one should try not to cut of the flowers edges. I see all the flowers edges have been cut off a little . Or at least have one full flower showing in the photo .
    The colors is nice on this photo.

    I have an idea more so than suggestion. Clematis are a nice flower. Have you experimented with images of the spent blossoms?

    If not, here's a rough shot of what there is to play with. I'd imagine with a bit of effort, someone could make a very interesting image.
