Sweet! I like the first one with the pronounced "AIR" writing. In the second one, the word has to be more offset to the right in my opinion. How did you get such a black background? Did you do it in post? There is no reflection of light on the surface at all.

Man, you really keep your shoes clean!!

I can't say anything about the composition of these because I haven't got a clue if any rules apply. It would be great if someone, more in the know, could help in that area. I'd love to know.

Your lighting is superb and I love the black bg against the shoes.
The word air is very dominant which is perfect. Nothing else distracts even though the overall clarity is fantastic.
Great POV. I love both shots but if I had to choose a favourite it would be the bottom one because I can see more of the shoe.

I like the first shot. It just seems to be "there" if that makes since. Great effect with the black base and superbly sharp shot.

I like the top shot. The geometry is neat and the lighting is also good. The bottom shot, the lightest part of the shoe is the front toe area which isn't that important (but you are drawn there by the brightness). The top shot spotlights the "AIR" text better also.

top shot for me too. the subject filling the frame gives it a lot of focus and less distraction. In the 2nd one I can see the setting, the table, a door, some decorations, etc. The focus on the subject makes the first one stand out for me even if it was subliminal. Not too many distractions.
