Re: first taste of winter
Hey polar,
I prefer the first one out of the two. Although it looks slightly underexposed. It could use to be lightened up a bit. I haven't had any luck correctly exposing for snow before, it's tough to get it right and not blowing it out. Also, i think the it might not have the interest it needs to keep the viewer interested. I would've probably not gotten in as close. maybe a bit wider look of the landscape?
Re: first taste of winter
i think your right on both accounts i was using a polarizer filter on the lens, perhaps i should of taken it off and changed the white balance to cloudy, and backed off on the focus a bit, thanks for the comments.
Re: first taste of winter
I agree, it is very uninteresting. The first one that is, you solve that with the second one. Just your choice of zoom and framing is much better, kept me more interested. The snow could use some more "pop" though, it does seem a bit dark/flat, probably due to the softening effect of shooting through the filter.
