Well, I like your thought here. I am a fan of this type of composition and the different texture and color of the rocks add to the picture.

I wish the picture was a little sharper.

I'm a big fan of this type of shot too. I agree with CB on sharpness. Also (and this may just be me), my eyes don't find it natural to go from right to left, but that's what they keep trying to do with this shot since it disappears into the distance on the left. I think (for me anyway) that it would feel more natural to see it vanishing from front to back (turning it 90 CW) or left to right (180 CW)

I like that. My only concern is that the focal point seems to be on the second row of rocks rather than the first one. In other words, the rocks at the extreme right are slightly blurry.
I think that the image would be more efficient if the extreme right was in perfect focus with a progressive blur toward the left side. I like your idea here though.

ty for the feedback all. I agree, and am quickly realizing the limitations of my A75.

That's the first thing I thought about when I viewed this image.

    mud,
Idon't mind the 2nd rock being out of focus so much but rather the awkwardness of viewing this photo. Front to back makes this shot so much different and that much more natural to the human eye. I hope you don't mind me rotating your shot.

It is absolutely amazing how much strain that right to left put on my eye. Crazy how the human mind operates! I also think that the right to left is just as straining to the eyes. Front to back is the only one that works for some reason.

After seeing Liban's rotation, it does seem a little easier to view. I actually like how the second row, and especially the orange/black one is highlighted with the focusing...it seems to add some sort of 'mystery' to the image.

    I like it,

    Nice shot,

I love the textures and colors of the shot. I too am a big fan of this type of photo. I like the way you worked with the depth of field. I do like the rotation off it with the front to back better than the left to right.

    Well done.
