    Fences and Sunset

Shot this two days ago in San Diego. SD's finally had some significant rain lately, and the clouds are making for some great skies. Fuji Velvia 50 on Mamiya 645.

ahh Vevia with medium format, must llokmvery nice in a large print. i like your exposure here and the mood is set . I only wish there were not something below the rope ,as it looks a bit cluttered with it there. Other thn that, very nice

    Re: Fences and Sunset

I second the awesome shot, GB. That sky is kicking butt. A little delineation between what looks like a cactus and the rope would have been nice, but it's such a small point for me that it doesn't really take away that much. Hope you have some more like this.

    I do love Velvia.

    Re: Fences and Sunset

Barty - Thanks, but I think Gary and SRobb are right that maybe that cactus should not be there or at least not intersect the rope. I guess I could take it out digitally, but would probably be easier to go over there and uproot the cactus and reshoot (!!).

Thanks for commenting. I rarely even try sunsets anymore, just millions of them out there. When I do, I try to get something in the foreground to spice it up. This one almost works
