    Father and Son

Empty parking lots with the sun in the right place makes for an interesting canvas.

I'm pushing my 2.5 year old in his stroller

This is good. I like the tall, narrow shadows and your child in the stroller is clearly evident, which is crucial to making this shot. The title is also part of the image because it alows the viewer to understand immediately what we are looking at and then the definitions of the shadows make it quite available to see. I also like the vignetting here, intentional? If I could say I would change anythinbg about the shot, it would be to rotate the image slightle CW so that the shadow of the stroller falls into the corner equally to the shadow of you falling into the other corner, forming a sort of level triangle. I really don't know if that would strengthen the photo any more than it is, but it is something that keeps coming into my head when i look at this.Maybe if I were not looking at this from a critique point of view it would go unnoticed. I like this, well done.

Interesting image. I like father, son subject matter.

Jim and Gary, thanks for your comments.

Gary, I will be playing with the composition next time I mess with this photo. The photo is also an example of geometry since the shadow creates a triangle, a centered triangle. I'm curious to see how the photo does if the top tip of the triangle were to the extreme left or right. It's something to mess with.

Yes, the 'vignetting' was intentional. I wanted something holga'ish....but have to fake it of course.

    Again, I appreciate the comments

Since you plan to try this again, might I suggest using a tripod between you and your shadow so that your posture/position might be more natural without that elbow sticking out the back of your head. Just a thought.
