    Falling Apart
Went for a walk today and this was the only shot that even really turned out. I loved it! Think the lighting needs adjusted??

(I tried resizing it so I could add it as an attachment but every time I do it really effects the clarity? )

pic does look a bit too dark, maybe a little lighter might have helped.
overall cool pic, but my first impression was "What is that?" =)

Haha, yeah I thought that too! I was trying to remember what the heck I took a picture of! I wanted to lighten it up a bit, but I liked the darkness because it gave it a "chill" to me when looking at it. I'll play with it a tad. =) Thanks!

I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to go with a crop just above the curving leaf. That would remove most of the sky adding focus to the cattail and solving some of your exposure range issues.

It is certainly a worthy subject and your sharpness and clarity is very good. I think though that there is too much clutter behind it, and maybe too little light. Try bringing out some more exposure and highlight in the cat tail and see if you can get it to stand out stronger.

I would lighten it and then crop either a little off the top or off the bottom. I think it's a good capture overall - the geometry is puzzling here :)
