This is a great shot! The dead tree being consumed.....
A dramatic sky and sea converging.
    Good title too.

I like the stark simplicity. Anything else added would only subtract.
I do wish it was wider on the right.

    Re: Fallen

Thanks arne. One thing for sure Frog I almost always agree with your critiques. You are the best. I wish it were wider too. As it was I had my back against another tree and was shooting as wide as I could in waste deep water. Also distacting tree on right. I did shoot a few with my 15mm Voigtlander but the film needs developed.

Well, I guess you can't fall and break your back when standing waist deep in water.:wink5:

    Re: Fallen

I love this Greg. It is stark and with good impact. To get over the problem of not seeing more on the right I would suggest that you increase canvas size on the right and clone in some surf/water etc; this will then sort of complete the image of the dead branch.
But it is still great as it is.

Thanks again Frog, Tom I agree more of the open sea would help. Not sure if I am skilled enough at PS for the job but will give it a go.

I agree with the others--great shot. Great exposure control.

    Re: Fallen

Looks like an octopus to me! Nice the way it juts out and dips under the water, then reemerges. I am glad the sun didn't blow out here (thank the clouds). My only wish in the photo, and I'm not sure of it, is that a bit more of the right-side branches were showing. Nice frame.

Don, Tyson. Thanks. Good points as always GB. I know what you are saying if the tree was rotated slightly.
