Great assortment of colors and textures.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
YEah, nice colours and textures. I'm not sure about the DOF though, I think it woulda been nicer had the whole seen been in focus. or maybe not now that i look at it again. hmm sorry lol. I don't know what to think of the DOF. it's confusing me. It adds depth to it for sure. Maybe if I saw another that was in focus through out , I coulda decided which one i like more. but a good shot still.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
I don't see anything here that is obviously the subject of the image.
I'm thinking cropping about 1/3 or so off the bottom of the frame to tighten things up and make the focal point of the image the steeply sloping rock where the water is starting to fall.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
Nice image. You might want to adjust the horizon, I beleive its slighlty tilted down to the left.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
I have stared at this for sometime and I have an issue with the top bank in the photo. I find this distracting and I think it should be cropped out to bring the little waterfall into the fore. I would crop down to the green rock reflection leaving just a fraction of water.
I love the colours and textures of the rocks and leaves.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
Hmm.
This is a tough area to photograph. There's a lot happening and how to isolate it is an issue. But the biggest problem is the lighting: really tough to get everything evened out to look smooth and harmonious. I think a certain time of the day, on a day when the light is best, would or could work. This one's light and color isn't too bad but I am not sure it really makes it as a standout. Decent try though..

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
Thanks for all the great feedback........
I kept coming back to this image...there was so much tactile feeling to it...but i couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Appreciate it.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
Len, i like the water running off the rock and the assortment of leaves laying upon it. I think the rest of the image above this rock is not adding to the scene and takes away focus from the subject.
I would suggest cropping off 1/4 off the top of the image into an almost square format and then reduce your brightness and increase contrast a bit. Love the textures and colors and the sharpness is good to bring those things out.

Re: Fall Creek Gorge
I am thinking the same thing Roger and Gary are. Take out some of the top just above the flat rock.
