    F1 Garage
Minolta A2, zoomed to 200mm, cropped and resized. No post processing at all, just converted RAW to JPG with camera sefault settings and Adobe colour space.

I'm not sure whether the colour works image like this, other than distraction in the background. So I just set the saturation to 0 to see if it's improved in monochrome.

In this case I think that the muted background colours actually contribute something to the picture. If it wasn't the concrete of the pit lane I don't think it would work as well.

I've added two more pictures, one failure where you can't see so many the spokes of the wheel, and the one that I cropped this from. I just didn't have enough zoom to frame this as I wanted.
Besides it was an opportunistic shot, I walked past the garage as they finished filming and the engineers were clearing up for the day. I didn't even take the time to switch to portrait for what I knew would eventually be a portrait shot ;)

    I'm a big F1 fan
I like this image a LOT, have you tried a photoshop blur on the background to diminish the chain link?

Photoshopping? Not yet, have to get onto the Mac G5 at work for that.
My poor PII laptop can only just handle copying the images off the memory cards :(

How about the colour vs B&W question? I rather like the subelt tones in the colour version.
