There are a number of problems but to stick to one of the main ones: the colour balance is way to warm. Shades of orange do not work, no matter what.

Thanks for the comment but it is important to note that there is no post color enhancement or change to this photo; it is what it is. You said there were other things wrong, what other comments do you have? Thanks,

I think that the scene has potential but I am distracted by the tilt of the picture. Also, I think I would have left more space on the left side as you only get an hint of the path located there which I think looks strange. I believe that seing more of this path would be more natural. I like the bird on the ramp though, that's a nice touch.

I believe that Ronnoco was reffering to your white balance setting.

    Seb,

Thanks for the comments. I see your point on the tilt of the "horizon." As for the color, perhaps this is just not the place to take photos as the color you see in this shot is the color of those lights: very yellow, orange. The whole beach front has a eerie glow to it. I thought it a unique opportunity but I guess it doesn't work. I cropped off a bit of the left side as there was a huge distracting light that ruined the shot. The only way to get the bird was to include the light then crop out, but I see your point here also.

    Thanks again.

The sepia tone effect is interesting was this film or digital?

    Jim,

Thanks for the comment. Sorry I have not responded sooner, I have been out of town over the past week or so. Actually, I did not add anything to this shot other than one shot of sharpness. The colors you see here are the colors as they exist. It is a very eerie glow, but no color change in post production.

    Thanks again.
