    Evil Triumphs

So I had a friend who was wrestling at a show, and this is the photo I got of him after he won:

He decided to name it "Evil Triumphs".

Anyways, is there a way for when I'm shooting to make the colors pop out more? I know that the lighting in the building wasn't great and using 800 ISO film and my 1.8 50mm isn't going to help, but what exactly should I be doing to get colors to pop out more beyond just using a longer frame rate? It's rather hard to use a longer frame rate in action due to the blur, is there any sort of help I can get?

Ok, I thought at first look that you decided your friend was Evil after all lol. I like the composition although wish there was a bit more at top. The Defeated laying on the mat in the fg is good.
As for the colors popping, I think your issue here was with lighting temperature, or white balance. Since your shooting film you would have had to use a film that compensates for flourescent lighting if there is such a thing,( I know there is for tungsten lights) or, attach a compensating filter to the lens (usually magenta in color for correcting flourescent light) to correct the color cast. That may have slowed the lens down some. If you are scanning your film into digital, than the good news is you can do it with a click in photoshop.
I think correcting the white balance here will bring back the pop to the color thats there, which from what I can see here is really only the defeated's trunks and skin tones.
So, I think the white balance correction here will basically fix all your color concerns.

    Chase -

I like the scene and I think you hit it at just the right moment. Technically though, it has issues, the biggest are the color shift and the angle you shot it from, which is just too cluttered, too clipped and has too many conflicting geometric lines.

But when you're faced with the choice between the right angle and the right moment, I do feel that the right moment is best. Getting both is the point where you want to be.
