I think this shot looks really nice on the right and middle area, but seems too bright and washed out on the left. I love the clouds but wonder if it woudl have been a stronger shot if they were above the skyline, not intersecting it. Alas, you take what you can. Great overall contrast. I would consider cropping out the left side.

I like the lighting, and the overall mood of the scene. It seems to me like there are almost 2 photos here - the one on the right (skyscrapers) and then I really like the Capitol building on the left ...together - almost a little too much.
seems you have taken this shot often with varying conditions
I agree the left side is not as striking as the right one, but still thee cpitol is interesting to see
Gosh, I hate to mention the red dot again, its sounding like that Seinfeld episode. But it should be easy to get rid of, shouldn't it? Its left center.
But I like this shot. What I find interesting is how the city seems to stop behind the capital building. I was going to suggest cropping the foreground buildings but that would ruin what I find interesting.
the red dot is like the blemish on your favorite whore. you would cut it out if it were legal, but since it is not, you look askance...
yeah, hard to really figure out the best composition. on the left you have less interesting infrastructure, but that is where all the cool light comes from as the year wears on...
