I love it. Yhe only thing I thought was it might be an idea to get rid of the two stray lights on each side.

    Otherwise.... stunning

Very nice, I like it. Much like Dave mentioned above I'm conflicted whether or not the two stray lights add or subtract from this. I will say the lefthand light drew my attention first, appears a bit stronger to me.

Great angle and exposure imho. Those lights don't bother me at all.
    Color is great.

    thanks guys, appreciate it.

for dave and skunkty, maybe a crop getting rid of those might work? actually, i can clone them out. but for some reason, i like the crop, i think it makes the tower more bottom heavy and stable to my eyes anyway. here is a crop.

I honestly don't know if i should crop it, clone it or just leave it. ....

They both work, but I think I like the original better. You could try without the lights, but I don't mind it with. Fantastic image, inn any case!

I love the original! I like the two lights on the side, because it reminds me of how alive the area around the tower stays at night. I had the good fortune of visiting Paris during Christmas of '97, and as impressive as the Eiffel Tower was during the day, it was twice as fun at night! Also, I really like how you can see the last bits of the sunset through the bottom arches.

    Liban,

Working at your favorite time of the evening again I see. I love your photo, geat colors and comp. I like the original shot, the crop takes away too much from the archway in the back. I'd clone out the street lights and what looks like the tip of one more from bottom center. Other than that great shot, print it and hang it!

    Re: Eiffel Tower
I am going with the first shot Liban. The two glarey lights do nor distract me as much as the two square ones at the bottom corners. But that is only a small thing.
Great sky and I like seeing the trees (or are they buildings) behind. Great angle of view too which has provided a very high impact image.

Liban - Very nice. Quite geometric in a good way. I like both versions, though I wish that the sky was either darker or lighter.

Hard to say though... What do you think of these variations?

btw, haven't read the entire thread but is it just me that there seems to be a very slight clockwise tilt to the top of the tower? I checked the levelness of the horizontal supports and they're straight.

CL, yeah that's the last hour I get to shoot at night, after that it's usualy just black skies and i retire for the night :) yes, i see that thing in bottom center it's def. distracting. thank u.

Tom, yeah they're trees, that's what i was torn about, since there's some nice sky (lighter) at the bottom there also. Appreciate your comment, thanks.

GB, I have other shots which i shot earlier that had much lighter skies, I'll try to post it in this thread when i go home tonight.

As for the variations, the first one looks like what i had above, i don't see a difference. the 2nd one looks over cooked.
I like the last one there. I see what you meant by lighter sky. Thanks man.

I like the crop as well, I get the same feeling about the base being more substantial. I do agree that the trees added something to the sky but for me the crop is the one. Either way it's a image I like.

    Liban,

This is a really nice shot - I especially like the mix of blues and gold here. I think I prefer the uncropped version - the lights don't bother me at all.

Magnificent, Liban! i prefer the original, the lights don't hurt. If you wanted to remove them i would clone them out but not crop.
This is one of the best shots of the tower I have seen.
    Beautiful

    Re: Eiffel Tower
Awesome shot! I like the lights but it would be interesting to see what it looked like without them.

I don't like the tighter crop so cloning them out would be better IMHO. I would try to take out that object that is peaking through at the bottom in the center arch. You might be able to just crop a tiny bit off the bottom or photoshop it out.

I love the color of the sky. I wouldn't change it from the original.
