Early Evening, Old abandoned burned out house, palm trees, sillhouettes.
Saw this while I was scouting for a location to take pictures of sunsets that is close, because too many times I've looked out my window over the roof of a singlewide trailer and a fence to see that I'm missing out on a beautiful sunset, this is about a mile from my house and I'm wondering if you think this is worth pursuing for sunset images. (also looking for critique on this one in particular ;) )

Hey Mr. Yuck...I like this one a lot. I like the streaks of light just faintly showing over the house, and I really like the silhouettes here. My main complaint though is that the tree on the right throws me off a little. It seems out of place in the same scene as the palm trees...(of course, I'm saying this, and it's probably more native to CA than palm trees...lol!). I'm not sure if it's because it looks like some sort of evergreen, or if it's because you have the two palms side by side and it's out of balance.
    It's a lovely picture either way. :)

This is very nice, but a bit crowded with that tree on the right. Or perhaps losing the leaves on the top would open it up some. Howevr, I do like those leaves. I would suggest cutting the tree down and definetley use this spot for your sunsets.Well, ok, maybe that is out of line, but this looks to be a great spot with many interesting subjects to create silhouettes with. Not a bad image at all.

I thought I replied to this yesterday, Oh Well!

I do like the silouhette and the framing of the photo, but It does seem busy.

The rays from the sun is well captured but the sund behind that cloud is a bit bright. It might have been better to let the sun drop a little further so that it's not as bright in the frame. But after saying that I quite like this.

    Keep them coming.

I love the shapes, and the way the leaves frame the photo at the top. The only thing that disappoints me is the loss of detail on the house. That would be hard to fix howover, even in PS or whatever. Nikon film scanners have a function that works pretty well with this type of stuff, alas, you have to have the scanner and have taken it on film to run the function.

hey!! I like this picture alot :). I cropped it a little (though since i didnt have the orginal its kinda pixelated)... i dont know if that looks any better... but it seems more balanced to my eyes then the other way. I love the colors and the sillhouettes, and the sun rays :D

yeah I tried to leave detail out of the house because it's incredibly ugly when you can actually see it. And sweetdeal, that does look like a good crop, thanks.
