A couple night shots of an interesting hardware store I found downtown. Struggling with how to accentuate the signage without resorting to selective coloring. Used my Quantum T4d off camera in several of these, should be evident which ones...

Also interested in how everyone feels about the processing of the last 2. More saturated or less?

Less the power lines #2 is my fav here jet, sorta looks like an old speakeasy from the prohibition days, the harsh lighting suits this image.

I like the second one the most. I think a straight on shot may have worked better. Also eliminating the powerlines would help, but a pain for that many. You might also try and cool it down a little.

There are no straight-on shots. I think that would really work.

I may need to go back and try this again tonight, but as I recall from last night's shoot, the back of the building looks very 1 dimensional from straight on. I chose this perspective because of the 2 arrows pointing toward each other and the distortion such a low angle provides. Power lines are a tough one because they are about 3 feet from the face of the building. There are 7 that cross the face of the building and an additional 5 above (reason the sky is so dark - to mask them). Just don't know that the end result would be worthy of the enormous amount of work required to remove them - I still have the better part of 1,455 images to go through from this town and the surrounding area.

This location may turn out to be a bust after all. LOVE the sign out front, but the front face of the building faces North so sunlight never hits it during the day, resulting in very flat lighting morning noon and evening.
