Driftwood Beach, Black and White
This is a three shot HDR. It did bring out some detail in the sky and water that wasn't in the original.

Beautiful !
feels as if it is lit by moonlight
did you the b&w conversion before the hdr or after ?
Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
I love the starkness of this Greg. I think even a longer shutter speed to make the water more velvet could've made this great shot even more spectacular.
Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
Armando I converted to B&W in Lightroom and exported three different exposures. Thanks
Thanks Liban

Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
Nicely done black and white. Very soft.
Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
Nice Gregg, I was wondering is there is still a bit of detail left in those rocks.
Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
Thanks dag, thanks Pete, yes the original is sharper. I think maybe the hdr conversion may have softened it.
Re: Driftwood Beach, Black and White
Hmm.
This one's got me a little puzzled because I can't decide if it's done or if it needs something else in the background, perhaps in the back left. I don't think that little bit of land does the trick, but maybe a sailboat? Maybe even some birds. Like the way the foreground rocks sort of open up and let the viewer 'enter' the scene. The HDR was a good idea.

I agree with you gb. There were a couple of boats out just to far out and in the wrong place. With that said this was a long exposure and I would have had to PSed something in. I guess I still could I have a couple of boat shots.
