Double Barrelled Telescope
Also known as a pair of binoculars I suppose.

C&C welcome. I know the subject itself is a bit blurry if you look closely, but other than that, what do you think?

I think it is very interesting, but it looks overprocessed. What did you do to this?
Composition looks good, and it's got a moody feel to it (though it's a little dark for my taste).
My two cents worth.
Re: Double Barrelled Telescope
How do you get the cartoon looking colors? When I do an HDR they come out more traditinal looking.....
Re: Double Barrelled Telescope
The colors are something. I trust that you did a lot of post processing on the photo. Saying that I don't like it, but I can't tell you why. It just maybe to drake and moody for me. It reminds me of "DOOM"
Re: Double Barrelled Telescope
Very interesting picture. I wouldn't use this technique for everything but here it works really well.
Re: Double Barrelled Telescope
I really didn't do a whole lot of processing to this one, I used a huge range of exposure values to get the result and ran it through Photomatix, by severely underexposing at the low end, I brought out the moody clouds that weren't really there, and the selective color feel was just by selectively saturating at the shadows and highlights in Photomatix 2.5.1, which served to make the colors quite unrealistic.
If you haven't figured it out, I really like to exaggerate some images.
Re: Double Barrelled Telescope
I think the technique works well for this image, but for some reason it has a CG feel to it... it lacks reality. By sharpening the clouds somewhat I think you could achieve a balance.

That looks very cool. Nice job!
