    a different kiddie portrait

This was really just a random grab (with my broken lens but I felt like taking a different route than my usual "kid" processing.

I think this works great. Composition is wonderful and the PP lends a whimsical feel almost cartoonish and that fits well with the subject.

My only gripe is there is a strong color cast of yellow/greenish tone and I think reducing that a bit by adding some blue should help.

    I like, well done

I like the whole thing. It tells me a whimsical story of summer in the back yard. The girl has a great expression, her towel is ready, and she even has a pair of those arm swimmy things to help keep her afloat in 6" of water. The fence sets her apart and draws my eye right to her. Very nice. Randoms can be some of the best. Thanks for sharing.

    I like it.
it has a hand colored feel.

Very cool technique, the wide angle works well in the image. The shadows on the fence, and on the bottom of the pool look unnaturally bright. Almost pseudo-HDR. Little bit excessive saturation too.. Good work.

Great composition, nice PP work, and excellent subject. Don’t you love it when it all comes together?

Thanks guys. Good call on the color, I gave it just a nudge of each and that seemed to help. It is something of a pseudo hdr...theres a tone mapped layer in there.
