    Devils Falls
I have been waiting since April to re-shoot this. The water is flowing and the moss is just starting to grow so I gave it a try. The dark day didn't help much either. Should I crop these? water too soft? I also shot this scene with a faster shutter speed for a more realistic look of the water. Any critiques are always appreciated.

Hmmm....its a nice waterfall CH but for me it lacks the strength of previous shots I´ve seen from you lately. I guess that the composition is the problem...may be the shot is too close with nothing but the waterfall on frame.

On waterfalls, I generally like to see a 'top' and a 'bottom'. The top, like on the right side of the second two - a place where it is falling from. And a bottom - a pool or a stream flowing away that shows where it is falling into. - TF

Thanks Rob and OldClicker. Looks like I shouldn't have cropped the shot. I'll post up the original later today when I get time. I'm on my old laptop so if the contrast/colors are off it might be due to this 10yr old screen. I'll find out when I get home and see the damage I did :). I know excuses,excuses..I full of em.

    Thanks again

Something about the water is really bugging me in these. I can't put my finger on it but something about it looks fake. Maybe oversharpened? Maybe some CA? The water on my monitor has a look of a lot of colors making white, if that makes sense. Maybe it's just a really long shutter with a really small amount of water? I dunno. I agree with OC, I want to see more.

I would like to see the uncropped versions prior to commenting.

I think these lost a lot of the shadows that could've popped these images out and made them more contrasty. On my monitor, things seem a bit over exposed, also lacking deep shadows to pull it together.
