The Devil And The Muse (NC-17)

    Stravinsky, anyone?

Just for fun. Photographed at a dress/tech rehearsal, somewhere around ISO 2000. Never shot theater before and wondering if this works technically, compositionally, and... um... otherwise.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

    NC-17? sheesh, it's *maybe* PG-13
I like this a lot, especially the gel. Ribbon is a nice touch too

Very nice Dray. Had she been wearing tights other than black then this would be even better. The dress and golden chairs are beautiful against the black background.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Nice shot, good moment. The 5D mk2 really does perform well at higher iso. Looks very good.
Tom has a good point about the black tights.

Re: The Devil And The Muse

Thanks for the feedback. I actually like the shot and really want to make it work as a legit image.

I see what you mean about the black tights, Tom, but I had no control over that. I'm guessing there was a reason they/she choose that color/style... whatever it might have been.

I'd love to take credit for the ribbon/gel, but again... that wasn't me.

Yeah, I guess the rating was a little... Amish... of me, but you can never be too careful.
