    Desert waterfalls, in sedona,AZ

We have been having an incredibly wet winter here in Arizona. These pics are of a wash that hasn't flowed in years. Good timing, nice cloudy day. Which format do you like the vert or horizontal? Any comments would be appreicated.

Thanks enjoy the spring flowers, soon

Not fair, They're both good, but you can't compare the two !
Did you take any vertical crops of the first scene?

They are both quite good. The composition of that first shot is right on.
I think I'd like the second one more horizontal to include more of the pool. Kinda like giving a subject some room to move into. You need that when you have people moving in a scene and I think it would help with the moving water here.

I love this - especially the first one. What settings did you use?

Thanks for the feedback. I used f/16, 1sec shutter speed with a circular polorizer, Cloudy white balance, spot metered off the darker rocks. Hope this helps. You need to use at least 1/4sec. shutter to get the blurred water effect.

    Hey shane,

The 2nd just grabs me, but it seems to be calling for more (add more to the crop some how?). Very nice shots (both of them).

The edges are really sharp, really nice photo you have taken I must say. It must have been many years that you are teaching yourself this art and now that you have applied it with perfection the result is beyond perfection. I am a graphics designer and I know how hard it is to self tutoring something and making it as a profession. I appreciate your work.
