Defeated or Victor?

Was playing around a bit today and can't decide which perspective I like better. Which do you think?

#1 works better. The DOF on the first one is better because you can see the numbers on the board. Other than that there is not much really to complain about :P

Victor (Queen in focus) or Defeated (King in focus)? I still can't decide and I've been staring at these for a bit now :o

I like the focus on the king in the foreground personally. Nice pic.

Okay,

I will detail what I like and dislike about each then you can tell me which I like because I can't decide.

First King in focus:
Likes: The king in sharp relief
The board leading and pointing to the other pieces
Dislike: the numbers being cut off or being there at all.

Second King out of focus:
Likes: The board leading and pointing to the other pieces
They eyes start at the queen and then pull back
Dislikes: The fact the numbers intrude more into this one and being there.

Thanks for the input everyone :) Roger, I can't decide either...LOL From friends that I have asked the response has been people that were having down days liked "Defeated" and those having good days liked "Victor". So, I guess it all depends on your mood :confused:
