Question A day at the races

    Hi all,

I wanted to get in on the action so I'll post one for critique in the new critique forum..

Having not shot many pan images, I'd really appreciate all the feedback y'all have to offer!

    Thanks everyone!

    Good Effort!

    Hey Brian!
Good effort, you left enough space on the right side for the truck to go somewhere, rather than placing the front of the truck too close to the end.

Even though it works with your image, I think it would have been a little better if there you had showed the whole truck, rather than cutting off the small bit that you did.

    Hey yourself Brian!

Thanks for leaving a critique for this one. I'll be sure and make a conscious effort to get all the subject within the frame next time. These buggers were moving pretty darn fast though.. They were hitting 110+ mph through the straight aways. I was doing good just jeeping them in the frame most of the time! LOL

    Thanks again for your $.02!

Looks to me like it's sinking.

The left side being cut off is something I'm undecided on. For one, it adds to the sensation of speed because it's entering the frame, but it also takes away a lot of what makes dirt racing interesting, the dirt being kicked up, the other contenders in the background, all of those elements help to make it feel like a race.

BTW, did you notice the action forum? I am looking forward to posting some sports shots in there.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.
