Macro Flower Plus Color

I was working on this black-eyed susan and decided to add color. Also, I discovered that putting a +10 close up lens on a macro lens works well.
Critique away, please.

I really like the variation of colors, however the overall sharpness is lacking I think.

Yes. Some of the parts seemed blurry. Or maybe there has been a very little action while you took the picture. The colors are fine. Maybe you can also try a different angle.

The reflections are hurting the color here. I also think it could be a little sharper.

*edit - checked the f-stop, I think f/32 is too narrow, I guess the lacking sharpness was motion blur or something. I would try f/16 or so instead.

Are you guilding the lilly? Where did the color come from?

Sharpness is something I am desperately working on, it is essential to macro. I am using MF, a sturdy tripod and a cable release. So, please continue to be on me about this issue, its the only way to learn.
Don, I wanted to make it appear that the flower was bleeding, but the flower absorbed the food coloring, giving me the results as shown instead.

There're some specular hightlights and so they're more than slightly blown

I think here it's the dof that you may want to watch and where to focus when you have a shallow dof.

Cool idea. I like the way the yellow and green look. The way the green is leaking over an how it is just at the bottom of the flower on the right side. makes it very interesting.
