    I think I would like to see a color edit. It does appear just a little soft. Maybe darken around his nose as well. Did you blur the bg in post?

    Very nice. Love the texture of his weathered skin, tells a story all on it's own. The only nit pick here is perhaps a tighter crop. Too much BG taking away from the great subject. Love the B&W rendering.

    Greg, no, I didn't blur anything. it was just the bokeh from my f1.4 lens. i love it when shooting portraits. i'll post the colour below. i did pull out the textures in PP though.

    I like the b/w. The processing is helped by the conversion (and vice versa). Looks really vintage. The color doesn't work as well for me.
