Baby's First View

A baby Eastren Bluebird poking it's head out of the nest. My first thought was that there is too much empty space on the right, but the more I look at it, the more I like it there. What are your thoughts, on the empty space, and the entire image?

I love this picture.. and I like the empty space. It forces your eye to the intended subject. I like the photo because, I can tell the bird is checking everything out before he takes off. I can almost visualize the take-off just from this photo. Nice job. Sharp focus.

I like the colors and the framing. The background looks good i would do something to it to make it look like it was not done in photoshop. I would crop off the top 3rd of the picture. It looks a bit out of focus.

Thanks for the feedback Themage. I'm not sure what you mean about making this look like it's not done if PS? The only thing done in PS was a white balance adjustment and some sharpening. The OOF background is the intentional result of using a wide aperture to create a shallow depth of field.
