    Flowers for Marlee

My four year old asked me to take some pictures of flowers for her room, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Thoughts?

Composition looks good and also light and bg.
They all seem a bit soft.
The really important part is whether she likes them.

    Re: Flowers for Marlee

    Thanks Frog,

    Of course she loves them.

I actually like the softness. I think flower shots look better when only a small part is in focus. I was going for color and composition more than a perfect picture of a flower. I have the same shots with more DOF, but I didn't like them as much. They seemed less interesting to me.

But, this is why I post here, to see what people like and don't like about images. Helps me learn

    Thanks again

I like them too, I think they will look nice framed.

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

These make me want to go out and photograph flowers. I like them all. They are a bit soft, but i don't know that the lack of focal point makes a big difference here.

I did not mean that the softness as a negative but did not know if it was intentional.
I think in this case that it does work better than a sharp image.

No worries Frog! Offense should never be taken in a critique forum.

Thank you Dray, probably the best compliment I have ever received!
