    The Cove

More work went into this as I care to admit.LOL
Let me know if the crop works and is there to much going on with
the log, bank est..... I tried to simplify it as much as I could.
At one point I had the lower portion and the boathouse cropped out.
Two shot pano. I learn something new every time I try one of these.

    Re: The Cove

Greg, I like these tranquil scapes you have been doing. Pleasing color and mood. I love the comp and how the shore curves upward towards each end, as if presenting the beautiful reflected sky. Crop def works

The log....I know if it were mine I'd be tempted to leave it in as you did because I feel its an interesting element. However, looking at this I find the beauty of the scene is in its utter tranquility and simplicity and so I think removing the log and the plants would be ideal. Boat house in the distance can stay but perhaps tone down its brightness just a bit.

If you left it as it were, i think its fine but removing the log and plants i feel would enhance the simplicity.

    Excellent stuff, Greg.

I think leaving the foreground in gives this scene a little more depth, Jeff

Another excellent pano, Greg. Love the cloud reflections especially. If someone put a gun to my head (yeah, I saw your other shot) and insisted I do something to this shot, I would clone out the plants coming out of the water.

Gorgeous. I agree that the bit in the front helps, but it might be better if there were a tad more of it.

Seamless join Greg very nice, just the slightest halo on the tree tops, I suspect this is a compression issue. Possibly my imagination but there seems to be a few blemishes in the sky and one in the water.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Great job with the stitching. Looks pretty dang seamless, indeed.

I love the clarity and color, too - and the fact that there's jiust enough detail in the trees (for my taste, at least). Did you use an ND grad?

I'd keep the log in. The only thing I'm wondering about is the boat house. Not sure if it adds, but that's a minor issue at best.

Really beautiful. you've been nailing the sunset/sunrise photos of late. Great pastely soft colours. i love the two little twigs on the left and the one at the bottom. very nice subtle blend of colours.
