    colorful

One of the few I have not yet shared from a roll of Fuji NPS 160. Shot with Canonet QL17 GIII at f/2.8, and scanned on an Epson 3170.

I know, I should clone out the legs of the unseen chair, but when it comes to film I prefer not to do any cloning (except to take out dust).

    Comments and critiques welcome.

schrack--you've already addressed the problem with the legs, so other than that the colors rock, and the DOF is excellent.

I agree, clone the legs. The colors really pop and I really like the DOF.

the colors are great but the bokeh seems a little funky. how many aperture blades does your lens have?

    Re: colorful

    Thanks everyone!

Brent, yes, the Canonet can sometimes displays a funky bokeh! I also noticed that I'm getting some vignetting around the corners. Not that that's a bad thing! I like it. By the way, I need to correct the f/stop. I'm pretty sure this was shot at f/1.8 because I remember the low light conditions the chair was in.

And, from what I can tell I have five shutter blades on the GIII.

Later on today I'll try to post a revised version with the legs cloned out. I don't know why, but I have an aversion to cloning on film images. I guess there's just a bit of "purist" in me when it comes to film.

schrackman, you need to get over the phobia of cloning on film shots, because once you do this is a great shot . I really like the colors and even that funky bokeh! It's a nice subject with good colors. I think the frame really helps it too.
